Langkawi

I've received the Langkawi CD ages ago, yet the post is still unseen. (tak nampak pun! :p )


Craps aside, Let's flashed back . . . . . .

It was not a smooth sailing trip to be frank. Many issues occurred even while just planning. Hotel arrangement was the initial issue... then came the attendees, ferry,bus tickets . . etc.


That was like a case study!
Issues to be solve. . .
Alternatives to be considered . .
and to execute the recommended plan...
hahaha ~


Anyways, the initial attendees was 5.. then it came down to 4 (w/out NungYe) . . then it was 3 ( w/out JXiang) . . then it was hanging by the thread of 4 ( depending on NungYe's arrival to Segamat ) . . . :S . . . I've confused myself and you guys (yes?) by explaining this complicated "put aeroplane game " . . . hahaha ~

DAY 1 :

We've departed from Port Swettenham in Penang. Yes, we took the 2.5 hours ferry to Langkawi due to the last minute planning. Regretted we did not choose Air Asia later because it was a super bumpy THREE HOUR ride . Everybody got sea sick.

Happily us still dunno that the ride is going to be one hell of a ride !

We even got lost finding our way to Langkasuka Beach Resort , while the gas tank is running low ! Hahaha ~ We ended up somewhere the map wasn’t showing and we got down to ask the locals by the roadside. =.=”


Food was our concern next. Not to forget the medicine for sea sickness.
We went into this mini mart, thinking she would have some. After failing to spot any of it, we decided to ask the lady at the counter.


“Cik, ada jual tak ubat . . . . . .” * everybody began to stare at each other*
“ ???”
“Ubat ‘pening kapal’ . . *laughs at the direct translation from Mandrin*
“Apa?”

after numerous attempts to ask… finally the lady …

“Ubat Mabuk Laut ker?”

HAHAHA … Sigh ~ hopeless marketers we are… hahahahaa . . .

Not much from Day 1 . . . as we were super tired . . . .

DAY 2 :

Woke up super early today! We registered ourselves for the Island Hopping. 3 Islands were covered that day, Pulau Dayang Bunting (Pregnant Maiden Island), Pulau Singa Besar and Pulau Beras Basah.

We got back to our hotel around 3pm (I think) . . And Off we go to our next destination , Langkawi Cable Car . . .
Followed the road signs, map . . .
After almost a 15 minutes drive, we've finally reached the place. . .
Happily parked our rented air-condition failure car. . .
4 of us walked towards the entrance. . . .

We then only realized that we're the only car and visitor there . . . . . :/
Apparently, they were closed that day for maintenance . . Some luck .. cheh !



So, we rescheduled our plans. . . . and bring forward our visit to Underwater World Langkawi . . Funny thing was, the closing time is 6pm. . and it was 4pm. . I told them 2 hours not enough!! All of them stared at me as if I just farted . HAHA . . . a lot of things to see mah :p

. . and apparently, 2 hours is more than enough... hahaha :p

We had our dinner at a cafe by the sea, Lighthouse Cafe. The service and food is nice! ( sry Tzen :p) Of cuz, the price is nice too . . . =="

And that was the end of Day 2 ! . . . . . . not !

After dinner, we still went for choc+liquor shopping, shopping mall, and the Eagle Bay. No pictures due to failure to take the eagle in darkness. hahaha. Drinking and games back in the hotel . . . . . .

DAY 3 :

Langkawi Cable Car here we come !!! ^^

The lucky thing that happen to us that day is that we force ourselves to woke up early.

Because the queue to the cable car is MADNESS !!

Trust me, the queue is not as simple as it seems, it's twisted all over the place until you finally reach. .

But the boredom of queuing paid off with the magnificent view from the top !

And that, was the end of our Langkawi trip. . .

I wished we could do this earlier. . and have planned more trips before . . but too bad, we were too caught up with assignments, endless presentations and case studies and FYP . . . .


But I'm glad at least we went on trip once. (:

Botanical Garden

While waiting for Wei Tzen's CD from Langkawi trip to arrive, I shall entertain you guys with my Penang Botanical Garden(槟城植物园) trip.

It was a family trip on 3rd June. Imagine that I just move back to Penang on 2nd June 5pm, and my mom first few lines to me was “ You want to go Botanical Garden tomorrow 7am?” I was really giving her the =.=” face ! hahahaha . .

Anyhow, after she put her own mktg skills in persuading me joining the trip, I decided to drag hBj together as well ! (:

The main agenda of this trip isn’t any boring sight seeing trip. It was actually gaining the access to the “Loji Saringan Air Terjun”. This waterfall dam is said to be the oldest dam in Penang and it still sources water supply for Penangites! (:


It’s a restricted area and this tour guide trip is in conjunction with the floral festival in Botanical Garden. After a little of tour of the flora and fauna in Botanical Garden, we finally reached our main character- Water dam! (:

After we had a little briefing of the dam from their staffs, off we go to the source of this dam! The restricted waterfall ! (: Expected to climb up the hill, but never knew it was so tiring ~! Until my little heart could not handle the climb ):

Overall, it was a very nice trip ! Minus the fatc that I have to wake up like super early in the morning (: Afterall, I do really need the morning fresh air once in a while. But, once is enough for a trip like this. kakaka
